Raith Rovers Secure Playoff Final Spot Despite Defeat

Rovers Overcome Partick Thistle in Penalty Shootout

Raith Rovers have booked their place in the Scottish Premiership playoff final despite losing 2-1 to Partick Thistle on Tuesday night.

The Kirkcaldy side progressed on penalties, winning 4-2 in the shootout after the match finished level on aggregate.

Raith Rovers had taken a 1-0 lead into the second leg, but Thistle leveled the tie on aggregate through goals from Brian Graham and Scott Tiffoney.

The home side had chances to win the game in normal time, but they were unable to find a third goal. The match went to a penalty shootout, and Raith Rovers held their nerve to win and secure their place in the final.

Raith Rovers will now face either Inverness Caledonian Thistle or Arbroath in the final, which will be played on May 21.

The victory was a major achievement for Raith Rovers, who are now just one game away from a return to the Scottish Premiership.
